How to use Reddit for growth-hacking?
I'm new to the Virtual Community Building biz and I have got some questions:
How can Reddit be used to bring users/visitors to your SaaS/Website?
I managed somehow to gather 16k Karma points and was for a second really inspired by it, but now I've no idea how to use it. The power of the interactions there is stunning in some subreddits (r/technology).
But when you watch the relatively low stats of the subreddits (http://subredditstats.com/), like r/startups or r/indiebiz, I don't find an appropriate strategy on how to integrate Reddit into my funnel-design.
What are the possible strategies behind it?
Not bad was the discord channel of r/startups for finding some personal interaction and advice with quick response times, but is there also some benefit in it for my funnel-design?
My main target at the moment is getting referrals to our website.
I'm a newbie in Virtual Community Building and hope to get some good tips back. Any ideas? Thank you so much for your time, passion, and replies.
I have a love/hate relationship with Reddit as a distribution channel.
In the past, I was using Reddit to share blog articles I'd published. When I share the post, I'd create a condensed version of the article that offered the most value.
At the end of the post, I'd mention that this was a summarized version of the full article.
If the post started to see engagement, most community members would ask for a link to the full article. At this point, I'd respond to their comments, but also add an additional comment with a link back to the full post.

Long story short, I've put that on hold - I may come back to it at a later time. I don't want to bring you down, but my results were far from stellar ;)
