Learning how to help others outside of medicine

Hi! My name is Seyi and I'm a medical student, researcher, and wellness educator. In the future, I would like to practice medicine for fun and not as my primary source of income.

My goal is to learn how to build digital info products that people find useful for improving their health and wellbeing.

I write a newsletter called Holographic Well (holographicwell.com) and just launched pre-orders for my first project to build in public called the Emotion Gardening Journal: https://gum.co/emotiongarden.

Happy to be here and learn from everyone!

It's really great that you're doing this. You are doing a great job. I am in my 1st year of medical school and still don't know which profile to choose. I keep thinking that to help people, you have to be a surgeon, an oncologist, someone severe. This stereotype was instilled in me by my parents, and I am still struggling with it. But at the same time, I understand that every person in medicine is essential, not only in medicine. And I still remember my teacher's words at the course https://www.trinityschoolofmedicine.org/students/journey-caribbean-medical-student-trinity that your decision to tie your life to helping people is already enough to consider yourself a strong person.
