Made a screenshots to walk through video tool!

I have a story to tell. In the process of building tools on SlickWid, I always amazed how people adopted screenshots. I added templates to showcase their stats but people still prefer just taking screenshot of the graph and post it. The reason is pretty simple, the efforts and time it takes for screenshots and post is far less than making a video, no matter how simplified the process is. Of course, the result would be little less attractive but people are fine with it.

I thought, instead of competing with screenshots, how to enhance it? That's when I got into this observation, that, people often need to give meta information to screenshots so that the viewers get full context. I caught on to this point and made a simple screenshot to video tool!

All it does is, converts screenshot into videos. You can

  • Add zoom-in click animations to highlight a spot on the image
  • Add annotations to give context/information
  • Cool zoom animations just enough to catch viewers attention
  • Customize colors, zoom level and duration
  • Doesn't take more than 90 seconds to make

The initial reception is pretty impressive and found that it best suits for

  • Walk through videos
  • Guides for your products
  • Reporting bugs
  • Giving feedback
  • Educational purposes

I named it MotionShot - https://slickwid.com/motionshot and added it as a tool under SlickWid for now. I am sure it finds its place in everyone's daily workflow to explain stuff quickly just from screenshots! Pretty excited and positive. Cheers :)
