Reaching $100k MRR Organically in 12 months

After analyzing 100+ AI and Saas startups with $100k+ MRR, I have found that all these startups are using same method to get traffic and paying users.

The method was stealing the traffic of other aggregator websites like Theresanaiforthat, indiehackers, futurepedia, futuretools Producthunt etc by listing their Saas on all these.

It worked for my website, and I started providing the same service to other Saas's and one of my clients Stunning.so is getting 47%+ Referral traffic from these listings.

You can do the same, by promoting it on 1,743+ places that I have compiled in a notion database which includes 270+ Startup Directories, 300+ AI Directories, 200+ Prodcasts, 240+ Guest Posting Opportunities and 1,100+ Newsletters etc.

You can get exposure to 13m+ monthly traffic, approx. upto 200 paying users without paid ads and quality backlinks from Top AI websites.

Need to add in cost of posting to all these places and insert yourself in a valuable way so it's not spammy. It's very time consuming.

Not saying it's not worth it, it's also part of how we grew Morningscore to 1000+ customers, but there is a clear cost of doing this.

We have a service to save your time and resources where we submit your saas to around 300 directories and communities:

Would you recommend this to other business models? I currently operate a subscription based unlimited design & web agency, we have been growing just by in person interaction and are looking to grow more on the internet side of things

It's for any sort of products, resources or services...

From what I analyzed after launching my last two side projects and putting them in a few startup directories, I'm not sure it's worth the time, especially spamming in those hundreds of low domain authority websites.

For a small SaaS I feel it's better to focus on improving the tool, reaching your niche users by actively posting on sources like Twitter, Reddit, IndieHackers, etc.

It's like SEO, yes you can spend weeks on it, but is it worth for every new project I launch? Probably not, as most of them fail anyway.

I launched StartupUtils and it has 0.4 DR, 50+ backlinks. Not sure if that matters, cuz all paid customers came from Reddit, and IndieHackers. I'm invisible right now in the google on important keywords.

Also what I saw those top startup directories with good reputation, tend to charge for posting a new startup, to prevent spam. For a Solo Founder with 0 cash it's hard to post in such multiple directories :/

What's the 80-20 here? What would you say are the top 3% startup directory where it's worth posting (even spending money)?

    2. 1

I think you are right but there are alot other directories that are ranking on google search with hi authority in niche but aren't popular and we used alot of operators and filters to find those.

If you offer an affiliate program, consider listing it on TapRefer.com.

Here's a pretty solid free list of 150+ startup directories you can submit your product to:

I've checked most of them out myself, and they seem legit.

    Good luck!

How would you tweak this approach for a low-code agency? If there's a way I would like to explore your services. It'll be great if you could provide a link for me choose time slots.

Obviously you can list your agency on these platforms so you can get exposure to alot of AI enthusiasts and people who are willing to start are researching Saas ideas.

Using websites that gather lots of information can help promote SaaS products, but it's important to be honest and fair. Make sure your product is useful to people, try different ways to market it, and make sure the places you advertise are trustworthy and relevant.

Sweet. It’s difficult to create a traffic stream when you’re just starting out. It’s easier to tap into existing streams and redirect some of it.

It's how we got a lot of customers at mixsave :)

what's the one site that got you the most traffic when you started?

      1. 1

        It's indiehackers ofcourse.

Thanks for passing that along—I'll definitely give it a shot!

Thanks for sharing this growth strategy. Do the aggregators specifically permit this kind of listing service monetization?

    1. 1

Actually we don't need any sort of permission from these aggregators because there is no restriction to be posted there if the product team itself allows us
