Researchers Just Set a New Record For Data Transmission Speed
Even if you're enjoying gloriously fast broadband at home wherever you live in the world, you're still going to be a long, long way behind the new record for data transmission: an incredible 1.02 petabits per second.

Um, wow... 1.02 petabits per second. That's the equivalent of 10 million simultaneous 8k video feeds. And it's triple what they were able to do last year.
Will there ever be a point where we're like, "Yeah, that's good. We did it. Let's chalk it up as a win and move on"? Probably not. I think this might be fast enough though.
I don't even know what a petabit is, so I'm guessing that's pretty freakin fast.
