Which version have you been using Tailwind CSS V2 or V3? -Working on a product

Hey all,

I've been working on a product and I have a few questions for Tailwind CSS users.

I'm curious about:
1- Which version have you been using Tailwind CSS V2 or V3?
2- Which method do you use for the installation CDN or Tailwind CLI?

It's really important to know the answers to these questions for us to publish our product ✨

We're building a coming soon page kit to help creating coming soon pages for building an audience for our product launch. There will be 50+ coming soon page templates built with Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js for developers or no-coders to customize easily every block for their coming soon page.

My friend @alicorak who is a UI/UX Designer designed templates with mobile and desktop screens on Figma. I've been just using Tailwind CSS classes during the development for each template, so any custom config isn't needed to use them. Our aim is to provide the whole kit (Figma file & Tailwind CSS template) at affordable prices.

We also created a coming soon page for our product and used one of our templates:

Great to hear your thoughts!

I use Twind a javascript compiler that enables a lot more features.

      Agree! I use Parcel.js when I don't use Laravel Mix. Thanks @volkandkaya ✌️

Perfect! Thanks for your comment @theAprilBuilder 🎉

For my last project I used v3, I'm always trying to use the latest version.

    • easier to install (supported by the latest CRA)
    • easier to find the docs
I followed the installation guide and used npx tailwind to install and set up it.

Great! I always try to use the latest version, too. Thanks for the answer @uluhonolulu 🎉

Definitely V3 since the CLI is really handy.

V3 with Laravel Mix compiling it (and any JS I have). Up and running in under a minute!

It definitely is! I use the same stack with you. I love to use blade as a template engine⚡️Thanks @Crevans

V3, with JIT. It's basically magic.

Always V3, always the Tailwind CLI, always the four official Tailwind plugins. Custom config too, especially fonts, colors, and community plugins. Tailwind’s JIT support for arbitary values means I don’t customize the config nearly as much as I used to.

And yes, I had already signed up to your mailing list from the previous post 😂

Haha thanks for the subscription and support @fromtheexchange 😂 Same as you, I don't use config as much as I used to either. Arbitrary values are really great update! It's great to use any property without thinking a name for it ⚡️

I am using Tailwind V3 and I use CDN for installation.

Thanks for the answer @Siful Well, do you add any custom tailwind config to your project?
