Why can't we add text to a link post?
I just created my first link post on IH and was surprised that I can't add any text explaining the link.
Whenever I saw link posts in the past, I always thought people were too lazy to add commentary and just spamming IH by dropping links. Didn't realize that adding text wasn't even possible.
I think it would be a useful feature, and make link posts less spammy.
Thoughts?

Yeah, that's the limitation of the platform. Making a regular post and adding a link in the body is how everybody does it. Hope it helps.

Yeah, that's what I did, but I don't think it's the same thing. In particular, if other comments get upvoted more, then the comment gets kind of detached from the link. Maybe it's not a big deal, but I feel like having link + text would still be useful.
